Details
A Nehru jacket in 220 GSM handloom cloth from Bhagalpur, Bihar, woven with a tussar silk warp and a cotton weft. Tussar has a natural gold cast and a dry hand, so the jacket has quiet lustre without looking like a polyester shine. Fully lined in unbleached cotton mul, with a mandarin collar, five buttons and two welt pockets. The shoulders are lightly canvassed in cotton so the jacket keeps its line without a fused chest piece. Dyed with azo-free reactive colours which do not bleed because the yarn is dyed before weaving. Dry clean, or hand wash cold if you accept a slightly softer drape.
