Details
A stole in 300 GSM pure sheep wool, handwoven on frame looms in Kullu, Himachal Pradesh. The wool is local Himalayan fleece, spun a little coarse on purpose, because the crimp in a coarser fibre is what traps warm air. This is a genuinely warm stole, not a decorative one. The end borders carry the geometric Kullu patti in contrast bands, woven by hand thread by thread. Colours are azo-free acid dyes fixed properly, so a wool stole that is worn against the neck will not transfer colour onto a shirt collar. Wool does not shrink in normal use but it will felt in hot water, so keep the wash cold and gentle.
