Details
Wool, silk, pashmina and fine handloom are damaged by ordinary detergent in two ways. The alkali swells and dulls the fibre, and the protease enzyme in a normal powder literally digests silk and wool, because they are protein. This wash contains neither. Gentle does not mean weak. It clears the collar of a silk kurta in a ten minute cold soak, because the surfactant releases body oil without needing heat or agitation to do it.
- No enzymes at all, so silk, wool and pashmina are not eaten by the wash
- No alkali builder, no chlorine bleach, no optical brighteners, no dye, no perfume
- Near neutral pH of 6.5 to 7, which keeps the natural lustre of raw silk and undyed wool
- Mild plant derived surfactants, readily biodegradable to OECD 301
- Correct for a baby's first clothes, mul mul, and anything with zari or hand embroidery
