Details
Thrown on a potter's wheel by families in the Bikaner clay belt and fired in a downdraft kiln to about 950 degrees C. The pots are left unglazed on purpose. Porous clay lets air reach the roots and lets excess water evaporate through the wall, which is the difference between a plant that grows and a plant that sits in a wet plastic pot and rots. Each has a drilled drainage hole and a matching saucer.
