Details
We avoid non-stick nearly everywhere, because a coating is a part with an expiry date on a tool that should not have one. A thin dosa and a crepe are the honest exception: bare steel and cast iron can do it, but a coated pan does it every single morning without a learning curve. So here is one, made properly and described plainly. The coating is a three-layer reinforced PTFE, PFOA-free, applied over 4.2 mm cast aluminium so the pan does not flex on the flame. With daily use and wooden tools it stays good for about two to three years, then it starts to release less well and should be replaced. That is the deal with any coating, whatever the price.
