Details

Green tea from a single garden above Coonoor at about 1,800 metres, plucked in the frost months when the bush grows slowly and the leaf turns sweet. Two leaves and a bud, hand-plucked in the morning, withered briefly and pan-fired the same day so oxidation stops early and the liquor stays pale gold rather than turning brown.

  • Single garden, frost season plucking, hand-picked
  • Pan-fired within hours of plucking, not held overnight
  • No jasmine, lemongrass, mint or fruit flavouring
  • No added aroma, colour or filler leaf
  • Whole leaf, not the broken sweepings sold as green tea dust
  • Brew 2 minutes at 80 degrees C. Boiling water will make it bitter
