Details

Suji milled from Bansi wheat, the hard amber durum of the Deccan, which has the gluten strength and the natural yellow that soft wheat semolina lacks. The grain is cleaned, tempered and milled to an even granule, then sifted once so upma does not go lumpy and idli batter ferments evenly.

  • Single-variety Bansi durum, not soft wheat semolina
  • No bleaching agent, no bromate, no added colour
  • No anti-caking agent and no added starch
  • Two grinds: fine for halwa and upma, coarse for rava idli and rava dosa
  • Natural pale gold colour comes from the wheat, not from anything added
  • Dry-roast lightly before storing if you use it slowly
