Details
A size 5 match ball, hand stitched in Jalandhar with waxed polyester thread through 32 panels. Hand stitching sits the seam deeper than thermal bonding, which costs a little pace off the surface and gains a great deal of durability, because a hand-stitched seam can be restitched and a bonded one cannot. The cover is 1.2 mm polyurethane over a four-ply cotton and polyester backing, which is what keeps the ball round after a season on a hard ground. The bladder is natural latex, held in a lined carcass, and it is replaceable through the valve panel by any sports shop. A latex bladder loses a little air over a week and that is normal for latex, which in exchange gives a much better touch than butyl. It arrives deflated with a needle and a hand pump. Inflate to 0.6 to 0.9 bar, no more.
