Details
The two brooms an Indian home actually needs, made the way they have always been made and finished so they last a season longer. The soft broom is hill grass, hand bound in three places and set into a bamboo handle rather than a hollow plastic tube. The hard broom is coconut midrib for the terrace, the courtyard and wet floors.
- Soft: hill grass, triple bound, bamboo handle, 120 cm
- Hard: coconut midrib sticks, wire and cane bound, 105 cm
- Bamboo handle, sanded, no plastic tube to crack at the collar
- Rebindable, a local broom maker can renew the head
- Grass and coconut both compost when finished
