A direct cool refrigerator sized for a two or three person home. The compressor is rated for Indian voltage, so it runs from 130 V to 290 V without a stabiliser, and the cabinet is built to be opened: no glued panels, no proprietary screws, no sealed service points. The 190 L draws about 130 units a year, close to Rs 90 a month at Rs 8 per unit, running the way a family actually runs it, opened a dozen times a day in a 35 C kitchen.
