Indian cooking puts out more oil vapour than any chimney sold on a European suction rating can handle, and most of them get loud long before they get effective. This one runs a filterless design with an oil collector, so there is no mesh to soak and no baffle to scrub, and the auto clean cycle heats the collector so the oil runs off instead of setting. Suction is 1250 m3/hr on the 900 mm at full speed, and it does that at 52 dB(A), measured at one metre.
