Details
Mixer grinders fail in two ways. The rubber coupler shears, and the motor burns out from continuous grinding. This one addresses both. The coupler is a stocked part at Rs 90 with a two minute change, and the motor is full copper with a thermal overload cutout that resets rather than a fuse that ends the machine. It is also markedly quieter than the category, 78 dB(A) at one metre against the 92 to 95 dB of a typical mixer, achieved with a damped base and a balanced rotor rather than a thicker jar.
- 78 dB(A) at one metre, published, which is the difference between a conversation continuing and stopping
- 100 percent copper motor with a resettable thermal cutout, no fusible link
- Stainless steel jars with a leak proof gasket, and blades that unbolt for sharpening or replacement
- Coupler, gasket, blade set, jar lid and dome are all stocked parts with printed prices
- Spares held 7 years, service manual and an exploded diagram published
- 2 years comprehensive, 5 years separately on the motor
- Left out: no plastic jar, no riveted blade assembly, no sealed base, no proprietary coupler
