A 5 star inverter split air conditioner for a room that runs long hours, where the efficiency is repaid rather than paid for. At ISEER 5.2 the 1.5 ton draws about 720 units across a season of 1600 running hours, close to Rs 5760, against roughly Rs 7960 for a 3 star unit doing the same work. If the room is used more than six hours a day, this is the one that costs less to own. The indoor unit runs at 32 dB(A) on low, low enough to sleep through, and the copper condenser is coated for coastal air.
