Details
Induction puts about 89 percent of the energy it draws into the vessel, against roughly 68 percent for a good gas burner, and none of it into the room. In a small kitchen in May that difference is felt. The trade off is fan noise, which most makers do not publish. This one runs at 44 dB(A) at one metre on the 2000 W setting, using a larger slow fan rather than a small fast one, and the fan is a stocked replaceable part because it is what fails first in a dusty kitchen.
