Details
Hair dryers burn out for one boring reason. The rear filter clogs with hair and lint, airflow drops, the motor overheats. On most dryers that filter is behind a fixed grille. Here it twists off by hand for rinsing, which is the single change that takes a dryer from two years to eight. The motor is AC, rated for 1000 hours of use rather than the 300 to 500 typical of a DC motor, and it is a stocked spare.
