A built in hob with forged brass burners rather than the coated alloy that pits within two monsoons. Brass takes heat cycling and cleaning without losing its port shape, which is what keeps the flame even and the efficiency where it should be. Thermal efficiency is 68 percent measured to the Indian standard, so a litre of water boils on about 3.2 grams less gas than a 62 percent burner, which is roughly one cylinder saved a year in a house cooking three times a day. Flame failure devices cut the gas within 30 seconds if the flame goes out.
