Details
Most dishwashers are designed for flat plates. This one is designed for a kitchen that produces a burnt kadhai, an oily tawa and a pressure cooker every single day. The intensive Indian cycle runs at 70 C with a longer soak and a dedicated lower spray arm, and the baskets are shaped to take a cooker and a tall tumbler rather than only dinner plates. At 5 star the eco cycle uses about 10.5 litres and 0.72 units, roughly Rs 6 a load, which is less water than a hand wash under a running tap.
