Details
Khandsari made at small open-pan units in the sugarcane Doab of western Uttar Pradesh. The juice is boiled, crystallised and spun once in a centrifuge, then sun-dried. That single spin is the whole difference: white sugar is spun repeatedly and washed, then filtered through bone char or ion exchange resin to strip every trace of the cane.
- Spun once, so the molasses and the cane taste stay in
- No sulphur and no chemical bleach
- No bone char and no ion-exchange decolourising
- No anti-caking agent and no added colour
- Golden crystal, uneven in size, and it will not turn white
- Swap one for one with white sugar in tea, kheer or baking
