Details
One piece of sand-cast iron, machined smooth on the cooking face so a roti slides instead of catching. Four millimetres of iron holds heat through a stack of phulkas, which a thin pressed tawa cannot do. It arrives seasoned with sunflower oil, dark and ready. Cook on it, and the surface only gets better.
- 4 mm cast iron, machined-smooth cooking face
- Handle cast in one piece with the body, no rivets to loosen
- Slight dome so the roti moves to the edge on its own
- Seasoned in the factory with sunflower oil, no synthetic coating
- Cotton handle sleeve included, the handle does get hot
