Details
A plain graphite pencil, made properly. The casing is kiln dried cedar from plantation stock, left unlacquered and simply waxed, so it sharpens cleanly and smells of wood rather than paint. Most breakage in a cheap pencil happens because the core is off centre and the glue line is weak. Ours is bonded along the full length and centred to within 0.2 mm, and each pack is checked by drop test. The graphite is clay bonded and smooth without being crumbly, and it takes an eraser cleanly off 70 to 120 gsm paper.
