Details
A graded drawing set with a genuinely even step between grades, which is the difference between a usable set and a box where 4B and 6B look the same. Each grade is clay bonded to a measured hardness and checked against a reference sheet, so a value scale drawn with the set actually reads as a scale. Casings are unlacquered kiln dried cedar, waxed, with the core centred and bonded along the full length so the point survives a sharpener and a long stroke. Grades are stamped into the wood, not printed, so they are still readable when the pencil is half used.
