Details

A flat webbing belt in 38 mm cotton web, woven tight enough at 380 gsm that it does not curl or roll at the buckle. The buckle is a solid brass roller frame. The roller matters, it lets the web run rather than drag, so the belt does not wear a shine into itself at one point. The tip is folded, riveted and bar-tacked rather than heat-sealed, so it will not go brittle and shed. The buckle is held by a single rivet-and-screw keeper, so you can put the buckle on a new strap or the strap on a new buckle. Cotton web softens and fades slightly. It does not fray, because the edges are woven selvedge and not cut.
