Details
A trunk in solid mango wood with hand-forged iron corner straps, the kind of box that goes at the foot of a bed and is still there in thirty years. The lid runs on two heavy iron hinges and a brass stay that holds it open, so it cannot drop on a hand. It doubles as a bench: the lid is 25 mm solid and takes a seated adult without flexing.
