Details
Cast brass from Moradabad, sand cast and then turned on a lathe, with a 3 mm wall that gives the piece the weight brass is supposed to have. We leave it unlacquered. Lacquer looks bright for a year, then yellows and peels in patches and cannot be repaired without stripping the whole piece. Bare brass darkens slowly and comes back to gold with lime and salt in two minutes, forever.
